Damage to a floor in a service riser is a common problem, caused by service penetrations passing through floors in a multiple floor building, which can allow for spread of fire and smoke throughout a building.
A typical example of a flawed service riser floor is shown below where multiple services have breached the floor, being specifically cables and busbars.

The fire stopping methodology followed is as below using Rockwool Ablative coated batts, acoustic intumescent sealant and fire compound to produce a 60 minute seal in the floor of this service riser.
